Where you can die of dysentery or typhoid or cholera with just the push of a button..
I have a bad habit of presuming I know what an experience will be like before I even step out the door.
I need to stop doing that…

It finally feels like fall in Oregon, cold, rain and fog.
We’re currently parked in our new home park, Crown Point in Corbett Oregon…
Today our intrepid explorers attempt to ascend the mountains in the Cascade range via Sisters Oregon, through the Santiam Pass and the Mackenzie Pass.
We are told that the latter half is not for the faint of heart.
We shall see…
When I first began to research this trip to Oregon, I came across an awesome blog that showed dirt roads and mines with intact buildings in the Ochoco forest…
The saga continues…
Despite the fact that we drove for 11 hours yesterday, we are STILL having trouble sitting still…
We made it!
